About Static Up
Class Static Productions is a music publishing and copyright company. Our training program Static Up is tailored to teach dance creators how to protect their dances. The program is simple to incorporate into an academic course as part of a class curriculum. The program gives an overview to help learners understand the importance of protecting their work, provides key information about copyright infringement, and gives learners access to entertainment business services. The online training course typically takes around 30-40 minutes to complete. Learners receive a certificate for training completion. Learners can submit the certificate of completion for a grade in a related class. After completing the training, learners become members of Class Static for a small one-time fee. Becoming a Class Static member gives learners access to entertainment attorney services such as trademark services, getting contracts reviewed or contracts created by an experienced entertainment attorney, and entrepreneurs can receive assistance registering their business as an LLC or other business entities. Also, learners have an opportunity to submit a U.S. Copyright registration. After completing Class Static’s U.S. Copyright registration, learners receive an email confirmation for their registration.
Why Static Up
1) Advance Technology: Social media and advanced technology have made sharing dances easier now than ever before.
2) Dance Performances: Each time a dance is seen, or shared, other people have an opportunity to learn a new dance, but sharing a dance publicly can increase the chances of dance theft.
3) Publicity: When dances become popular, often the original creator does not get recognized because so many other people mimic their dance.
4) Credit: Cases of original dance creators not getting credit for their dances are increasing. Other people are receiving endorsement deals, recognition, and credit for dances they did not create. Static Up teaches learners how to protect their dances.
